Hello to all our Powell Panther Families! My name is Stephanie Ford, and I
have been elected President of the PTA for the 2009-10 school year. I am
very excited to have this opportunity to help our children achieve success.
The PTA supports  our school in providing quality education for our children while promoting their health and welfare. Collaboration between our community and our school is a very important element in this endeavor. Our school system is facing numerous challenges in the coming school year, as are our Powell families. The PTA will be facing these challenges and helping our school meet and overcome them.

On recommendations from the 2008-09 Nomination Committee, our PTA will be re-organizing slightly. We have combed past committee duties into 5
basic committees to streamline collaboration between volunteers.  They are the Arts Committee, the Community Service Committee, the Fundraising Committee, the Internal Affairs Committee, and the Executive Committee.

The work of our parent volunteers has improved the the Powell experience for students and teachers each year. I look forward to continuing this tradition. Thank you to all PTA members for your past support, and your future efforts. I also wish to say thank you to all the volunteers who have not joined the PTA, but have helped out in many ways at Powell. I look forward to working with you all this year!
